Happy November, friends! Life lately has been filled with really good rest. November 6th marked the end of a 20-weddings-in-four-months ‘sprint’ as I’ve called it. The past four months have been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling and my heart is so full. While wedding season is not yet over for me, November and December mark a much slower season. This slowness has afforded me some very much appreciated rest, and I am thankful!
How have I been spending this time of rest? I’ve been taking drives, going for long walks, playing board games with family, and curling up with really good books. I’ve been watching Gilmore Girls with Dillon, trying new recipes, working my way through the Nancy Meyers movies, and spending as much time outside as possible. It has been so good for me and my heart to have this time.
Here is what you can expect on my blog through the end of the year:
- The final two posts of the the ‘My Story‘ series, culminating in the story of how I booked and photographed my very first wedding (four years ago next week!).
- A recap of my very first personal planning retreat, something I’m SO excited for!
- Recommended reading – a list of books I’ve been loving lately – filled with motivation and inspiration for a purposeful year ahead!
- My Christmas traditions
- A beautiful Boston anniversary session
As always, thank you so much for taking the time to read this blog and follow along as I build my business and pour my heart into my dream of being a wedding photographer. It means so much to me that you are here!
