“Middle school Eric would be pinching himself right now if he could see this,” he said as he held Holly’s hand. They were standing in front of the most picturesque view as their loved ones looked on. He and Holly – lovingly known as HB – have been in each other’s lives since they were kids. They grew up alongside each other, sharing milestones and big moments together along the way. To be there at Atlantic Oceanside for their wedding celebration was so incredibly special. It truly was the kind of moment that dreams are made of.

Sharing a Place That’s Special to Them

HB and Eric grew up in the North Shore but recently set out on a new adventure when they purchased a home together about an hour from Bar Harbor. They both love Bar Harbor and it’s so special to them that they chose to invite their friends and family there for their big day. Being there added an extra special feeling to their wedding weekend and that feeling ran deep.

From the moment we arrived, we felt like we’d stepped into a postcard. The view of the Mt Desert narrows through the tall pine trees was so quintessentially Maine. Time felt like it stood still and it was so calm and peaceful. That calm carried into the spaces where HB and Eric were getting ready, mixed with so much joy and excitement. Everyone seemed so at ease and so excited for the big party, and understandably so!

As the day carried on and we got to meet their loved ones and see some of their favorite places in the area, our hearts were so full. As you’ll see through these photos, there was so much joy and love woven into every aspect of their celebration and we’re honored we got to be a part of it!

After we’d wrapped up our coverage for the evening, we made our way to our room at the resort. I teared up when I saw that they’d had a welcome bag delivered to our room, complete with a bottle of champagne and two flutes to toast to. We truly felt like a part of the family from start to finish and are incredibly grateful for HB and Eric’s kindness and friendship! I hope these photos give you a snippet of the warmth and happiness that these two shared with their loved ones that weekend 🙂
