Laura and Charlie’s engagement session at Duxbury Beach felt like meeting up with old friends to catch up and soak up summer. They graciously picked me up across the Powder Point Bridge and from the moment I sat down in their car, it felt like I’d known them for at least a decade. Laura and I quickly realized that we have matching phone cases and lots of overlaps in our wardrobe. We felt like fast friends in all the best ways, and their session hadn’t even begun yet!
The engagement session can feel nerve wracking as a couple because it’s not typically natural to be in front of a camera. It’s normal to be apprehensive, but it makes it so much better when you genuinely embrace the experience and choose to have fun with it. That’s exactly what these two did. I feel like the groom often sets the tone for how the session will begin, and Charlie arrived with eagerness to make the most of it, which was so appreciated!
Together, these two trusted me to find the best light and locations and just had fun with it all. It made my job so much better and I felt like I could be so much more creative! It was the best 🙂 As you’ll see, these two love each other dearly, and they love Duxbury. This session was a perfect fit for them! I’m counting down the days to their wedding day back in this charming town next year!
To Laura & Charlie:
Thank you for introducing me to Duxbury Beach and choosing it for your engagement session! It is such a special place and I’m so glad I got to experience it with you. You both made me feel right at home and made our time together feel so easy and fun. And thank you for sharing your champagne with me at the end! There’s nothing like celebrating an engagement milestone with your toes in the sand and a glass of ice cold bubbly in hand. I feel like I’ve known you two forever and Dillon and I are so excited to celebrate you both next year and capture the joy of your wedding day! 🙂
