Abby and Alex had the most perfect day for their coastal wedding at Cruiseport Gloucester. You know when August does that little preview of fall weather where the sun is warm but the air is crisp and breezy? That is exactly the kind of day that we had for their wedding! Everyone was so grateful, especially because Abby and Alex were hosting their cocktail hour on the Gloucester Harbor, with live music aboard Beauport Cruiselines.
A Coastal Wedding at Cruiseport Gloucester
Abby and Alex are both kind, warm, and incredibly down to earth. They were drawn to each other largely by their shared passion for life, drive, and love of golf. They complement each other so well! Throughout their day, there was story after story told about these two. Their loved ones shared how they found each other and how they’ve grown together. And most of all, they shared all the hopes and dreams they have for their future. The love and support of their friends and family was woven into every aspect of their day!
One of my favorite moments of the day was when Abby’s dad unwrapped a surprise gift for her. He’d incorporated part of the baby blanket her parents had wrapped her in when she was born. The fact that he’d carried it with him to include in his toast was such a heartfelt surprise! And then later that night, her 103 year old grandfather stole the show. He charmed everyone by getting out on the dance floor and enjoying the party. The legacy of love and celebration runs deep in this family! It was such a sweet thing to capture these moments and memories for them and I hope you enjoy this peek into their joyful day!

You two are so loved! It was such a joy to meet your friends and family last weekend and to hear some of their favorite memories of you two. Abby, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room during your dad’s toast, and your grandfather was an absolute hit on the dance floor! Alex, thank you for bringing so much joy and fun into your day and into your portraits. You two have so much to look forward to in married life and Dillon and I are cheering you on so big! 🙂
