Michaela and Mike’s wedding day at Cruiseport Gloucester was pure fun. They are one of the happiest, most easy-going, grounded couples we’ve ever served. Throughout each part of their day, they reveled in the joy of what was taking place and were present. I can honestly say that I don’t think that I witness a moment of stress from either of them the entire day! They were delighted to start their marriage, surrounded by their favorite people in a beautiful place.

The KSP team deeply values marriage. We appreciate the details and intentionality that go into wedding design, but our heart goes deeper. While I’m quick to swoon over a hand-tied bouquet, a letterpress invitation, or a piece of heirloom jewelry, it’s the moments when I get to see how genuinely excited a couple is to build their marriage that fill me with joy. Because that is what it’s all about. Weddings are not merely productions, they are a celebration, making day one of married life. Michaela and Mike clearly kept that top of mind throughout their entire day!

This is What it’s All About

It’s rare that I sit during a ceremony. Dillon and I are usually standing on the edges of the ceremony space, capturing fleeting moments before rings are exchanged and the pronouncement is made. We love every minute of it, but it usually happens so fast. Something that stood out to me the most about Michaela and Mike’s ceremony was that it felt like time stood still. I had a moment to sit on the edge of a pew during the Gospel reading, listening to the truth the priest spoke over these two. He spoke deeply about the value of marriage and the importance of relying on God as a couple. I saw Dillon smiling as he captured photos of Michaela and Mike across the way. And in that moment, I was reminded yet again, this is what it’s all about. That ceremony will stick with me for a long time!

As you’ll see in these photos, Michael and Mike are filled with joy. And their surrounded by loved ones who are filled with joy, too. It’s no surprise to me that we were fast friends with these two! Enjoy this peek into their day and some of the moments that made it so special 🙂

I remember looking at Dillon on our way to Cruiseport after your ceremony and telling him how much fun I was having and how there was such an ease to your day because of who you two are. Your easy-going nature and genuine enjoyment of your day made our job so fun. We’ll never forget your wedding day! And we’ll think of you every time we sip coffee from the Anthropologie mugs you gifted us and see the special tea towel in the kitchen. We’re cheering you and your marriage on SO big and are excited to see what God has in store for you two in the next chapter of your story 🙂
