I can’t believe I’m about to type these words… this is our last portrait session post of the 2024 season! And it’s such a good one. Kelly and Nick’s engagement session in Lake Placid was a dream. I’m excited to share the images and back story with you!

We first connected with Kelly and Nick last fall, right around the time when they began their engagement season. Because Kelly is in school to become a nurse anesthetist (in other words, a superhero who is incredibly smart!), they knew they wanted to save their session until later this year. It was exciting to have it to look forward to all season long, especially since fall is my favorite season 🙂

As autumn approached, Kelly reached out with an idea that was a dream come true… she asked if we’d be interested in traveling to Lake Placid to meet them on their annual trip there – during peak foliage (!!!) to photograph their session in a place so special to them. When our one open weekend in the fall aligned with their trip, we jumped at the opportunity. I’m so glad that we did! The drive through the Green Mountains was absolutely stunning, the weather was perfect, and we are already talking about planning a longer trip to Lake Placid in the future (Miracle is my favorite movie, after all!).

I’m excited to take you along with us on this adventure and for you to see the joy and love that these two share! 🙂
