If ever there was a bride and groom who is dearly beloved by their small town, it is Adrienne and Dan. The storied North Shore town of Marblehead, Massachusetts was the perfect setting for their romantic wedding. Through thoughtfully curated details and a timeless location, their day was rich in history and character. Adrienne wore a vintage dress inspired by Yves Saint Laurent. Dan chose it for her himself and it is quite literally a wearable work of art. She carried the love and legacy of her mom, wearing her heirloom jewelry and adorning the tables with her collection of vases. There were old family photos and cherished stories shared by guests. They intricately wove the threads of their family history throughout every detail of their day.
The Love of Marblehead
At their engagement session, they beamed as they shared their love of Marblehead and the community they have there. It was as though there was something magical about this seaside town they’ve come to adore. On Saturday, Dillon and I finally got to experience it for ourselves and it was truly magical. As they walked hand and hand to their celebration, members of their community stopped to show their love. Boaters cheered from the water as they passed by Crocker Park. People actually stopped their cars in the middle of the road to express their well-wishes to Adrienne and Dan. Marblehead really is something truly special, and it was as though the whole town came out to celebrate.
Adrienne and Dan’s wedding day was so very them. They are adventurous and strong. They have supported each other through valleys, and they have experienced mountaintop moments together (like sipping hot cocoa after a formidable hike to a summit in Japan). And they are deeply rooted in their supportive community and are enveloped in love. Above all, they are some of the kindest people I’ve ever known. On their wedding day, they surprised Dillon with candles on their cake, remembering that his birthday was the next day. They care so much for others. They centered their vision for their day around their people and the memories they wanted to make with them. Their marriage has so much support and strength from loved ones, providing a foundation for them to rest in. I’m so grateful that we got to play a part in helping them mark these sweet moments.
To Adrienne and Dan:
Your day was filled to the brim with joy. When I look through the photos of your day, I see so much happiness and contentment. You added your own little piece of history to Marblehead as you built upon your family legacy. I am incredibly honored that you chose me to help you preserve these moments forever. I consider you two to be dear friends and will be cheering you on so big in marriage and the adventures you will share as you walk through life together. You are so incredibly loved!
