Hi! I'm Kyla.

Brenna and Travis’s wedding at Wychmere Beach Club was quite literally a dream come true! I’ve shared stories about the road to KSP and all of the dreaming and planning that led me here, but today I’m sharing a sweet detail that has been such a blessing to me in this season.

New England is rich with history, breathtaking landscapes, and coastal retreats and there are countless stunning wedding venues. Back in 2021, I wrote a list of venues that I dreamed of photographing at. At the top of the list was the dream of photographing a Wychmere Beach Club wedding in Harwichport. It’s nestled in the heart of Cape Cod, polished, and drenched in sunshine. I swooned over it and prayed that I would one day get to photograph a wedding there.

Fast forward to last Sunday, when I realized I was tearing up behind my camera as I photographed the details they’d chosen. I was alone in Ocean Room to capture the decor while Dillon photographed cocktail hour. It was quiet, and I was in the zone. But then I looked up from my viewfinder and took in the sweeping view of the ocean, the dreamy florals on each table, and the twinkle lights out on the rooftop. In that moment, I realized that I am living the life I once dreamt of.

It’s because of couples like Brenna and Travis that I get to do this work. Beyond the pretty details and the dreamy locations, I am most fulfilled by the connections I get to share with my couples and the way I get to champion their marriages. The Maloney and Russell families welcomed us in like their own and spoke words of encouragement and affirmation over Dillon and I all day long. We were there to serve them, but they served us through their hospitality and the life-giving words they shared about what our work meant to their family. From my heart, I can genuinely say that I wanted the day to last forever as the sun set over the Nantucket Sound.

Thank you for trusting us to capture this day – and this season – for you! You two are so dear to us and we genuinely had such a fun time with you, both in Watch Hill and on the Cape. You’re the type of people that we once dreamt of serving. Thank you for making this dream a reality and letting us share in your joy alongside you! We hope you have an incredible time in Rome, Florence, & The Amalfi Coast! We love you both! Enjoy a peek into some of my favorite moments from this joyful day!
