Taylor Swift was playing in the bridal suite as her sisters gathered around Sarah. The excitement was palpable and everyone was so giddy and joyful (myself included – I love the Spencer fam!). After nearly a decade, she and Chris were finally getting married. And they were getting married in the place where they shared their first date – during their junior year at Ipswich High School! They’ve grown up alongside each other since that day, making memories of their own and falling more deeply in love. Their wedding day at the Floriana, in their hometown of Ipswich, was straight out of a storybook. It was the perfect day to mark the start of the next chapter in their story!
A Storybook Day
Sarah and Chris are two of the kindest, most playful and smiley people we’ve met. They genuinely are so happy around each other and it shows through every moment they share. Something so admirable about them is that they don’t take themselves too seriously. Instead, they choose fun and revel in the joy of whatever it is they are doing together. May we all have that kind of playfulness in our relationship!
Their wedding day felt like the sweetest reunion, as we had photographed Sarah’s twin sister Jordan’s wedding last June. The day was made even more special because the ceremony was officiated by Jordan’s husband, Zach (co-owner of the best pizza place in Ipswich – KSP loves Pomodori!). To be together with this special family again was such a gift to us.
We love all our couples dearly. It’s extra special to us when we get to serve a couple who has stood beside another KSP couple on their wedding day, before their own. It makes it feel like in a small way, we are woven into the family too, helping them build their legacy. That’s the heart of what we do and why we do it. We’re so grateful that Sarah and Chris (and Jordan and Zach before them!) invited us into their day to capture this milestone in their story!
To Sarah & Chris:
Firstly, you two are so incredibly loved by your family and friends – and us! Your wedding day was the best and we’re still pinching ourselves that we got to be your photographers. I was so excited when I saw Jordan’s IG story on the weekend that you got engaged in Nashville. My excitement overflowed when you reached out about having us being your wedding photographers. At this point I feel like an honorary Spencer sister and am so thankful to know you and your precious family. Dillon and I are cheering you both on so big as you begin your married life together. We pray that these images are a blessing to you for years to come. And as you look back on day one of your marriage, we know this will also be a sweet reminder of the place that started it all, too.
