just for you

Welcome to the KSP blog, a place where I share my work, wisdom, and a peek into my everyday life. I'm so glad you're here and hope you stay awhile!

Hi! I'm Kyla.

“Nonna loves you!” Nick’s precious grandmother said as she welcomed me into a hug. Dillon snapped a photo of the moment (pictured here). He’d just finished a sweet conversation of his own with Hannah’s grandmother, affectionately known as “Ma 2”. We were standing in the courtyard at St Clements Castle, just before their wedding ceremony. We absolutely love connecting with our couples’ families, but this day it felt even more special and significant.

Photos and Family Legacy

During cocktail hour, I was chatting with a special guest who shared with me that one of the portraits I’d captured would live on for generations in their family. His father had carried a similar photo with him throughout his life and into his final days on earth. He shared with me that he plans to do the same with one of the photos we took that day. That sentiment has stuck with me every since that moment.

That is the weight and significance of this work.

The work that Dillon and I get to do as we serve our couples has a lasting impact. The photos we capture are folded into a family’s legacy, hopefully to be passed on through generations. Legacy is such a big part of why we do what we do. Hannah and Nick’s wedding day was a comforting reminder of that.

As you’ll see through these images, their day was filled with love, style, and golden September sunshine. Everywhere we looked, we were treated to a feast for the eyes. From the pearls to the creamy ivory tones and contrasting pops of classic black, their wedding design was timeless and elegant. The formality of their aesthetic was perfectly balanced by their easy-going, joyful approach to their day and it was the best!

To Hannah & Nick:

We’re just so grateful for you two! Thank you for letting us share in your joy over the past year. We are honored that you chose us to capture it for you. You two are so sweet and one of the most fun couples we’ve ever welcomed into the KSP family. We’re cheering you both on SO big as you begin married life together! I hope you made the best memories together in Crete and enjoy the most special newlywed holiday season. In the meantime, we hope these images serve as the sweetest reminder of your incredible wedding day!

    Kyla and Dillon
Thank you so much for these absolutely AMAZING pictures. You somehow captured the heartfelt emotions of the day, from start to the last dance. You somehow did this while making everyone feel so comfortable. I can’t stop looking at this album. You two are truly amazing at your craft. And yes, nonna still asks about you.
