I don’t often publish two blog posts in one day, but this one is too special to wait any longer. This Francestown NH engagement session is one of my favorite of all time for a special reason. The bride-to-be is our younger sister, Kiara! We just love her and Sam and we were over the moon when they asked us to be their wedding photographers. I’m honored to also be a bridesmaid, too! So in just two short weeks, I’ll get to both capture the day and stand alongside her. It’s going to be such a joyful day.

Our time with Kiara and Sam was effortless. It felt like a much-needed double date where we got to connect for quality time while also capturing their portraits. Including Dillon and Kiara, there are 8 Shattuck siblings. Now the family is ever-growing as the siblings grow up and get married (Kaylee and I are delighted to be the first additions and are eager to welcome Sam and Jay within the year!). With such a big family, there is a whole lot of love to go around! It also makes double dates like this even more special.

An Extra Special Session

This session was special not only because we love Kiara and Sam, but also because Francestown is dear to our hearts. It’s where Dillon and I got married six years ago. It’s where Sam grew up and where Kiara spent the second half of her childhood, riding horses and having tons of room to run and explore and play. Francestown is a storied town and it’s just so charming – as you’ll see in these portraits!

Beyond the details though, Kiara is so incredibly special. She has a heart of gold and radiates love and joy to everyone she meets. She’s strong, servant-hearted, and determined. Her love for people extends to animals too as she helps others to find joy with horses at Saving Grace Farm, our mom’s dream come true. Kiara is the kind of person that can truly accomplish anything she sets her mind to, and she’s fiercely loyal. She is sure of who she is and what she wants, and that shines through her love of Sam. We love them so much and are delighted to share them with you today!
